Hello blog,

Yesterday I began work on my game jam product which is a 3D top down bullet hell but I got swamped with it and had to do a fresh start but I got distracted by a useful grey boxing tool in UE5 which resulted in me playing with that most the day, the tool in question is the CubeGrid, I'd been mainly grey boxing everything from scratch up until this point which is very costing in time but after a day of playing with this tool I can make grey boxed scenarios in half the time I normally would.

I'll attach some examples of what it's allowed me to do alongside a video tutorial I followed well learning about it, the shortcuts for the tool are simple enough and easy to remember so for the future all my early stage grey boxing will be done through this.

The examples I'll show are a grey boxed arched roof, a silo seal and two styles of mini forts, as we know grey boxing is best for conveying a point to an idea you have so these simple and quick to make examples can be incredible for cost of time.

The tool is almost reminiscent of forge mode on halo or Minecraft due to the use of cubes for everything making the starting stage of block out look very Minecraft beta like.

I encourage those that haven't to have a play with the tool as there a loads of different tools to find in EU5 hidden away.
