Game Jam got shelved

Hello all,

Suddenly this month I found myself getting interviews and it derailed my plans to take part in the game jam, however I am ecstatic at the fact I've made it to the third stage of one of the jobs, I an also waiting on my interview dates for a job in Germany as a Junior game designer! alongside that I am also hoping to hear about a Junior level design job local to me, well with that out the way I should probably explain what I've been doing to work on my portfolio and juggling interviews.

I have recently picked up blender again as it had been a few years since I touched it, so as tradition of anyone learning or relearning blender the donut tutorial is in being used in full swing, the difference this time is the finished product will be posted on my portfolio as a small sample of 3D art.

I also see the upsides to having semi competent modelling skills to create my own grey boxing geo for my own projects so this aids in that.

4.2 version of blender is much better than how I remember previous versions, this is probably just a testament to my skills improving in overall development in games over the years and the younger me blaming software for my shortcomings.

I will attach in this blog post the tutorial being followed for blender alongside an image of my work so far from it. If anyone is wondering what to do to maybe start a game creation portfolio or just an art post for said portfolio I highly recommend giving this a try as blender is a free open source software on steam (and of it).

I'll be keeping my blog updated on what happens with my job hunt and future progress of my delightful doughy friend.

Have a good weekend everyone :)

Quinn
